(el-Arish ) Egyptian security
forces have killed eight jihadists in a
shootout in the restive northern Sinai Peninsula after they raided a terrorist hideout.
The Interior Ministry said Tuesday the firefight broke out when the forces raided a suspected hideout in el-Arish city, stating that the operation targeted terrorists who were planning attacks targeting security forces, five automatic rifles, ammunition and a couple of IEDs were found at the scene.
