(India) Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam the Deputy Grand and vice-chairman of the
Jammu and Kashmir State Muslim Personal Board, has opined that Muslims in India
should demand a separate country and India was “illegally occupying” Kashmir.
“Muslims are the second largest community in India and they are facing harassment and persecution. Pakistan was formed by 170 million Muslims. If Muslims continue to face persecution and harassment, they should ask for separate country within India. It is the high time for them to demand separate country,”
The thing that Mr Islam conveniently omits is that the
Muslims of India during WW2 demanded their own homeland if the British wanted
their help against the Japanese. Which
is why in 1947, they got their wish with the formation of East and West Pakistan . Yet the 34 million Muslims who remained inside India after partition
, because they wished to remain inside India now number 170 million and due to their size are demanding
yet another carve up in which to accommodate their wishes., because they claim
they can only be victims . Which is exactly how Muslims the world over, react
when their numbers rise, be it Kosovo, Thailand, Philippines, or even Paris,
Malmo or East London, they wish to live
under our own rules or else.
