(Ouagadougou) Gunmen have launched twin attacks in the capital of Burkina
Faso, Ouagadougou, against the French embassy and army headquarters. Eight
security personnel and eight attackers were killed in the fighting while 80
people including civilians, were wounded, officials say.
Funny enough Under very high security more than 80 people went on trial Tuesday in a military court over a failed 2015 coup in a case being seen as a test for justice in the West
African country. The two generals accused of masterminding the plot, Gilbert
Diendere and Djibrill Bassole, just happened to be cheered by supporters as they arrived at
the court in the capital Ouagadougou.
