(Portsmouth) You've all seen how people disembark an aircraft via the use of a slide, but have you wondered how they do the same on an aircraft carrier at sea. Well wonder no more as the Royal Navy just tested out its Marine Evacuation System (MES) which is basically a slide for...ships on HMS Queen Elizabeth its newest aircraft carrier.

data-lang="en-gb">The MES is an Australian product designed for high sided ships (of which there is a lot of) and the landing pad is actually a fully equipped life-raft which can hold up to 100 people:
