(Chalon-sur-Saône) Two women were attacked and injured
Friday by a man wielding a hammer and shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ in the eastern
French town of Chalon-sur-Saone in Burgundy.
Witnesses of the attack in a public park in the town centre heard the attacker who was dressed all in black shout Allahu Akbar whist attacking the women, who were taken to hospital with light Injuries, both have now been released.
Prosecutors said they were treating the incident as a
possible terror attack, but also did not rule out the possibility the attacker
was deranged.
