(Sabha) In the south
of Libya a group of schoolgirls belonging to the Awlad Suleiman tribe walking
past a shop saw one of them have her headscarf pulled off by the shopkeepers pet monkey.
Incensed at this disrespect towards an edict enforced upon women by the prophet Mohammed , saw the Awlad Suleiman tribe
retaliate by murdering the Monkey as well as 3 bystanders who just happened to
belong to the Gaddadfa tribe. This in turn saw that tribe retaliate and after 4
days of fighting which saw tanks, mortars
and other heavy weapons been used, 16 people have been reported as killed with
another 50 injured.
