Saturday morning, Iraqi security forces managed to foil an ISIS
attempt of sneaking into Zankoura in northern Ramadi and resulting in the death
of six ISIS members and the demolition of a booby-trapped vehicle.
Saturday in the town of Hawija organized a moral boosting exercise
by executing five persons on charges of collaborating with the security forces.
Iraqi Shia militia group al-Hashed al-Turkmani faced off an attack
by ISIS at al-Zarka and surrounding villages, south of Kirkuk, killing twenty-eight
ISIS members in the process.
Friday afternoon, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a
vehicle carrying a regional ISIS leader (Hayman Galal, known as Abi
Abdul-Rahman al-Kurdi, and three of his aides) in central Mosul, resulting in their deaths.
A IED was detonated near a popular market in the
area of al-Husseiniya, north of Baghdad Friday , resulting in the death of one
person and wounding eight others.
