At least 47 people, including eight civilians, two Afghan
security forces personnel and 37 members of the Islamic State, have been killed
in an attack targeting a residential area in eastern Afghanistan.
The attack took place on Friday afternoon in the district of
Kot in Nangarhar province, the stronghold of IS in Afghanistan that has been a
target for the Afghan security forces. Attaullah Khogyani, the provincial
governor's spokesman, said the insurgents also burned 23 homes and kidnapped some
30 civilians during the attack, although many of the civilians were later
released.
A gun battle between security forces and the Taliban in the
northern Badakhshan province has left 11 people including eight militants and
three police dead,
At least 14 Taliban idiots were killed in infighting in the
eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan, The incident took place in the early
hours of Thursday morning in Sarkano district after clashes erupted among
Tehrik-e-Taliban and militants operating under the Islamic Emirate.
