(Mombasa) Police in Kenya have shot dead three women who launched an attack inside a police station in the city of Mobassa.
The women entered the station on the pretext of reporting a stolen mobile phone. Once inside, one pulled out a petrol bomb from under her Islamic dress (buibui, a black shawl worn by many Muslim women in east Africa) and set fire to the station. The other two launched themselves upon police officers with knives. In return, they were shot dead by the police.
