(Adar) Bouworde vzw is a Belgian youth organisation that sends
nearly a 1000 young volunteers abroad every year, mostly for short-term work
camps aiming to educate youngsters about poorness, solidarity and other social
themes.
Problem was
pictures of the children wearing shorts as they worked upset people who were over 300 miles away who
protested that they should be beheaded for offending Islam. A member of Parliament demanded to know why European women were wearing beachwear whilst working.
Due to the threats and the polarizing of the situation, Bouworde vzw has decided to pull all its youth
teams from the country. Police in Morroco have arrested the teacher who made the beheading statement on charges of incitement to terrorism
(Antwerp) A dispute between the Turks and Kurds in Belgium (A spin off from the clampdown on Kurds by the Turkish dictator ) resulted in a fight
on Friday in broad daylight outside a café. Problem was one side brought a gun and 3
people were shot resulting in 1 death. Two of the victims, including the dead man,
are cousins, while the other injured man is thought to have been an unrelated
neighbour who intervened between the two parties.
A man of 60 and his 32-year-old son have been arrested and a
firearm seized. You'd think that when people leave their homelands seeking a new life , that they would leave their intolerant baggage behind.
(Brussels) The Belgian government decided last year that children of IS
fighters from Belgium under the age of 10 would be allowed into Belgium, However
there is a reluctance to accept the mothers too, however in late December a
court ruled in favour of two Belgian women, Bouchra Abouallal and Tatiana
Wielandt, who are being held in the Al-Hol refugee camp in Syria with their six
children. The Court of First Instance in Brussels overturned a lower court's
ruling and said the women, whose husbands both died fighting for IS, must be
repatriated with their children. Failure to do so within 40 days, so by the end
of January, would result in a fine of €5,000 ($5,700) per child, per day.
But this is where it gets interesting Bouchra
Abouallal and her sister in law Wielandt first went to Syria in 2013 and when
her husbands died both(pregnant) returned to Belgium with their children under
pressure from their family. Back in Belgium both Wielandt and Abouallal enjoyed
great prestige in circles of extremists Belgium, as widows of a Syrian warriors.
They made little effort to deradicalise and they gave their newborn children
names that referred to the jihad. The children of Wielandt are called Mujahid
(warrior) and Shahid (martyr). However they both missed the thrill of oppressing
non-Muslims and so in the summer of 2015, Wielandt and Abouallal returned Syria
with their two toddlers. In a Facebook post from Syria Bouchra Abouallal mocked
the Belgian deradicalisation policy

failed, oh Belgian state. You kept an eye on us 24/7, and you still have not
managed to stop us. (...) We left for Syria because we believe this is a duty
for every Muslim. You have given us that last nudge, "
Abouallal met the man of her dreams in Abebe Oboi Ferreira a
ISIS terrorist from Trinidad , he had

sent her with his sons away. However she wanted nothing to do with these children

(Brussels) police are reporting that the knife attack on a policeman
stood outside the Police station in in the Rue du Marché au Charbon, at 0530hrs
yesterday by a man armed with two knives is now being treated as a terrorist incident.
The injured policeman was taken to hospital. His injuries
are not life-threatening. The attacker was shot twice by 2 other policemen and
is currently in a serious condition. Belgium police are saying the motive for
the attack is unknown.
(Brussels) Early this morning two policemen on patrol in the centre of Brussels came across a migrant sleeping in a public park. Telling him to move on, the migrant instead pulled out a knife and attacked them injuring one policeman. Unfortunately for the assailant the policemen were armed with hand guns and for his troubles he was shot twice leaving him in a serious condition.
(Brussels) In a further financial blow to Palestinians, Belgium has cut its funding for supporting Palestinian schools after they objected to the naming of a school they funded to that of Dalal Mughrabi a female terrorist who led a raid into Israel in 1978 which saw 38 people murdered and another 72 injured.
Not impressed with the name change Brussels told the Palestinians to change the name back, they didn't and in reply they changed the names of another 2 schools. man shouting Allahu Akbar during a
hostage situation at a high school in east Belgium today.
36 year old Benjamin Herman, who was released from prison
yesterday, approached two policewomen officers from behind and stabbed them several
times with a knife at around 10.30am local time. He then disarmed the officers
and used their own guns to kill them, before shooting dead a 22-year-old man in
a nearby vehicle. He then reportedly
fled to a nearby secondary school and took a female cleaner hostage inside,
before being shot dead himself by an elite police unit.

(“OCAM”) (which replaces the Mixed Anti-Terrorism Group inside Belgium in 2006 ) into the background of the 2016 Brussels Attacks which saw 32 people

The report which was
recently submitted to the Parliamentary Review Committee for the Implications

inciting followers to enter into armed jihad. They are also being encouraged to

(Brussels) One thing I've noticed these past few years is how pressure groups love to claim that the US and Uk armed the most despotic regimes going, without providing any evidence or remaining silent on those that actually did. So we've all heard how the US and Uk armed Saddam, yet the fact remains his armoury of weapons have very few systems with a made in the US or UK stamp on them. Of late the country in question has moved North West to Syria and again the ethical latte drinkers have said the exact same thing and yet the vast majority of weapons are again Russian, Chinese and Eastern European and it was the same with Chemicals, In Iraq it was found that Germany built the chemical plants and Holland supplied the chemicals and in Syria it has been found that Belgium, (The country which loves to take the moral high ground when it comes to the US and UK) has been selling chemicals to Assad since 2013. The export of chemicals to Syria has been subject to special
authorisation since 2013, but Belgian customs apparently did not take into
account the ban of the International Organization for the Prohibition of
Chemical Weapons of the United Nations.
Which is why the court case for 3 companies (AAE Chemie, Danmar Logistics, and intermediary Anex Customs) will begin next month in Antwerp over the export of several chemical substances between 2014
and 2016 to the Assad regime.The firms say they acted with the consent of Belgian customs
officials between 2014 and 2016 but were subsequently alleged to have failed to
apply for the permits that would protect them from falling afoul of the current
global ban on exports.

Two parties of Belgium's coalition government – the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) and Open Flemish Liberals and Democrats (VLD) – have expressed their intention to work out constitutional amendments to introduce a ban on the registration of such political organizations, as the Islam Party, whose ideas and ideology qualify as extremist. Whilst the current goals of the Islam party are set for this Octs local elections , politicians have stressed the need to have the amendments implemented before the 2019 general election where the Islam party is looking to field 28 candidates in primarily Islamic areas of the country.
(Brussels) Since 1995, Belgium has relied on volunteers to man its armed services, how like so many other nations which have a voluntary service, they are unable to recruit as many people as they would like for its 28,000 man army. In fact over the past 10 years over 4000 people have left basic training for a variety of reasons , with 16% of them claiming 'home sickness' was the reason why they left.
Well some bright spark has decided that in order to reverse that trend, recruits should be allowed to stay at home during their Basic training (if they live nearby) and that they should be allowed to go home over the weekend as long as they are back on base by reveille first thing Monday morning.
The point that , that bright spark appears to have missed, is by forcing a bunch of strangers to live and work together for a set period of time is you instil in them all the qualities of an esprit de corps which is the glue of any effective fighting unit. Where you are prepared to go through thick and thin to protect your friends , even as much as laying down your life. Allowing recruits to bugger off every night won't achieve that and will only result in an half arsed military good for nothing.
(Tongeren) A law banning the full-face veil came into effect in Belgium in July 2011. The law bans any clothing that obscures the identity of the wearer in places like parks and on the street. In December 2012, Belgium's Constitutional Court rejected appeals for the ban to be annulled, ruling that it did not violate human rights. Before the law was passed, the burka was already banned in several districts under old local laws originally designed to stop people masking their faces completely at carnival time.
The above didn't go down well with the local Islamic population who took Belgium to court on a number of occasions in which to win the right to cover up. That last was last year when the European Court of Human Rights ruled that Belgium's ban on face veils does not violate the European Convention on Human Rights.
Not ones to give up, the Muslims then took the government to court in the Belgique municipality of Maasmechelen and today a judge in Tongeren decided that 11 school girls have a right to cover up as the school regulations go against the European Convention on Human Rights, which guarantees freedom of religion.

(Antwerp) The Jewish community in Antwerp is concerned about how it
has been targeted for mischief by a 24-year-old refugee. For the past 3 weeks
this young man has been going around targeting Jews and Jewish premises. He has a habit of carving crosses into the
doors of synagogues, and Jewish schools.
He also taken to tear down mezuzas, (the tubes with Bible
text to Jewish doors.) He likes to run up behind jews and knock their hats
off, he also likes to throw Koran’s inside synagogues.
Despite been arrested by the police for vandalism several times in the Jewish
neighborhood. They continue to release him and straight away he returns back to the Jewish area
The Police and the Mayor are investigating whether they can impose a place ban so that the man can no
longer enter the Jewish quarter. Meanwhile the Jewish community is worried and feels threatened,
voicing complaints that the troublemaker is being released over and over again.

Belgium arrested a man on Saturday after trying to ram an Orthodox man and a
child on a street in Antwerp with his car. The incident was caught on camera
when the man and the child were walking
to a synagogue The footage shows a black
car swerving sharply while speeding The car is then seen intersecting a bike
path. The car then climbs the curb as the two alleged victims are walking
toward it, prompting them to jump away from the curb and toward the safety of
the building. The car swerves back
wildly, returning to the road from its incursion into the sidewalk.
The suspect identified as a foreign Muslim ,was tracked down via his license plate, who
claimed he was only trying to scare the two. He is to be remanded in court
Sunday.

(Ghent) The security experts in Brussels yesterday advised the Government to reduce its security rating from a threat level of 3 (a serious and credible threat) to 2 (average and
unlikely).
Less than 24 hours later police operating at the main train station in the city of Ghent were forced to shoot a knifeman who attacked them, the man was seriously injured and has been operated on at a local hospital.
Whilst the authorities have declined to offer any information regards the man who was shot an eye witness interviewed by the state broadcaster VRT quoted a witness who stated:
"A man walked into the station and passed by barely a
meter from me, he babbled a foreign language and was waving a knife, the police
in the station hall signaled that he had to stop, but he did not listen. Then I heard three shots, the man also had a
package with him, I thought it was a bomb,"
(JPost) The Netherlands and Belgium pledged a total of $38 million for the UN agency that provides aid to Palestinians following US funding cuts of $110 million.
Belgium’s government pledged $23.3 million in extra funding for UNRWA and the Dutch government said it would fast-track another $15 million in funding.
The United States announced its cuts on Thursday. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told reporters that a $45 million payment pledged for the UNRWA food aid program would not go through for the time being. Earlier this week, the US said it would freeze $65 million pledged to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, transferring only $60 million.
According to UNRWA, the United States provided more than $350 million in aid to the organization in 2017.

In the Netherlands, International Aid Minister Sigrid Kaag, who used to work for UNRWA and is married to a Palestinian former Cabinet minister, said she would make available immediately her country’s annual budget of $15 million for UNRWA, which was planned to be dispensed in several payments.
Three lawmakers, including one from the ruling People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy, submitted questions to Kaag in parliament this week about the decision.
“Why are you fast-tracking funding for UNRWA when there are so many potential groups with urgent needs?” they asked.
