Philippines : Twin female suicide bombers hit city killing 15

(Jolo) At least 15 people were killed and further 75 injured as twin blasts rocked the Southern Philippines town of Jolo on Monday. .

A motorcycle loaded with Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) went off near a military truck at the area, causing chaos among the citizens and military personnel. Soon after, a second explosion was carried by an alleged female suicide bomber, as authorities cordoned off the blast scene.

Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana  the Philippine army chief speaking to the media stated he will recommend the government  place Sulu province in southern Philippines under direct military control following the twin explosions.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks it is now believed they were most likely carried out by the wives of the first confirmed Filipino suicide bomber and a senior liaison between ISIS and the extremist group Abu Sayyaf. which has been carrying out bombings, kidnappings, assassinations and extortion in a self-determined fight for an independent province in the Philippines since 1991.

(Manila) 59 year old Ewold Horn a Dutch birdwatcher who was taken hostage by the Islamist terrorist group Abu Sayyaf in 2012 was killed by his capture’s yesterday when he tried to escape during a firefight between the terrorist group and the Pilipino  army on the Island of Sulu.

Horn was kidnapped along with a Swiss man and a local guide in 2012 during a birdwatching trip to Sulu. The guide escaped while being transported to Jolo and the Swiss man escaped in 2014. Horn was the longest-held captive of Abu Sayyaf, a terrorist group which regularly engages in kidnapping of foreigners and Filipinos.

During the gunfight six terrorists were killed and 12 others wounded and eight soldiers were also wounded. Among those killed was "the second wife" of Abu Sayyaf commander Raddulan Sahiron, an internationally recognized terrorist.

Philippines: Eight dead as soldiers clash with terrorists

(Jolo)  So 6 days after Islamic terrorists decided to blow up a church during Sunday morning mass killing 21 people . Members of the 5th scout ranger battalion sent into hunt these murderous thugs down bumped into around 150 thugs of the Abu Sayyaf group in Patikul town in Sulu early Saturday morning. A 2 hour gun fight then took place with 3 soldiers and 2 terrorists getting killed. Five other soldiers and 13 terrorists were wounded in the clash.

More information has become available regards the bomb attack on the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel which started all of this last Sunday. According to Eduardo Año the Philippine secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government, an :

“Indonesian couple” was behind the bombing last Sunday"

They were used in which to encourage flippo Muslims to carry out suicide attacks Speaking on Friday, He stated that the Indonesians were assisted by Abu Sayyaf bandits.

“[I]t was the Abu Sayyaf [members] who guided them, studied the target, did reconnaissance and surveillance work, and brought the couple inside the cathedral,” 

In the  televised interview, Año said the male Indonesian was known as “Abu Huda,” among several aliases, and had been in Sulu “for a long time.” Several witnesses pointed to the man’s female companion as the one who placed the bomb inside the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Año quoted  and who remained in her seat, next to the bomb, prior to its detonation.

Philippines: Attack on Mosque kills 2, injures 4

(Zamboanga City.)  Days after a twin bomb attack on a catholic church on the Island of Jolo in the Philippines.  90 miles away on the Island of Mindanao somebody decided to lob a grenade into a mosque killing 2 people and injuring 4 others.

The authorities have stated they are currently unable to tell whether this was retaliation for the cathedral attack. Isn’t it typical that after allowing the minority Islamic population the region to vote in which to have their own sharia compliant region in which to try and curb the Islamic insurgence that has plague the region for over 50 years. For some idiots its simply business as usual.

Philippines: Attack on Church sees 27 murdered , 81 wounded.

(Jolo) Days after the minority Islamic population on the island of Mindanao voted for a self-administered area in which to try and put an end to the violence which has gripped the Island for over 50 years. 90 miles away on the much smaller Island of Jolo 2 bombs were detonated at a Roman catholic cathedral killing 21 people and injuring another 81 people.

The Island has also been plagued with Islamic terrorism and no doubt the attack is meant to push Manila into giving the minority Islamic population on the Island the same deal as their kin received a few days ago on Mindanao . The cathedral has been attacked 10 times this past 19 years.

Philippines: Muslims vote for the right to have autonomy

(Mindanao) The second biggest Island in the Philippines archipelago is the southern Island of Mindanao which has a population of around 25 million people of which around 61% are Christian and Muslims comprise around 24%. 

The Philippines whilst predominately Christian is a secular nation which affords full rights to all faiths, but to the faithful that isn’t good enough and so since the late 1960s they have conducted a terror campaign in which to cede themselves away from Manila and either join with Islamic Malaysia to the south or form their own Islamic country this campaign has seen around 120,000 murdered by those who like to utter alis snack bar. The Government in Manila sick of the death toll which is also acting as a magnet for the idiots of this world have decided to allow 3 million  Muslims on the Island to vote for the right to have their own autonomous region known as the Bangsamoro, or "nation of Moros", by 2022. The area covers parts of Mindanao and a chain of dozens of small islands to the west notorious for piracy and banditry. About five million Muslims live in the region, which, although rich in mineral resources, is the poorest of the 16 regions in the vast archipelago. The Bangsamoro will replace an existing autonomous region with a larger, better-funded and more powerful entity. Three-fourths of tax takings in the region will go to this entity, which is expected to receive some US$1.3 billion (S$1.7 billion) in an annual grant to aid development.

The problem here, is this will do nothing but empower the faithful to up their violent campaign in which to see the entire Island (which is 60% Christian)  leave the Philippines and live under Sariah law. Isn't religious bigoty great and all we hear from the faithful is screams of Islamophobia.

Philippines: President Rodrigo Duterte expresses anger with Miltary

(Manila) President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines likes to play the play the part of a hard talking, hard walking man who will get his way. This we have seen in how he has addressed the drug problem in the country by instigating a shoot to kill policy on drug users.  (As of last month around 20,000 people have been presumed to have been killed by the security forces since July 2016) THis has naturally caught the eye of the world including the ICC whom he has just called “a bunch of criminals” for wanting to investigate his war on illegal drugs. He's fallen out with the US (His biggest sponsor) and has had no problem getting into bed with China and Russia.

A natural bully he has no problem attacking anybody who stands in his way be it legally or illegally. For example  Senator Leila de Lima, is Duterte's chief government critic. He in turn has no problem playing dirty in which to silence her, she was arrested and charged for being linked to the drug trade during her stint as justice secretary. Funny enough all her accusers are prisoners who have been granted freedom if they are willing to accuse her. She is still locked up in jail, but continues to carry out her work as a appointed senator fighting corruption found within the current administration.

Which brings me to Duterte and the Military. You see he has publicly expressed his displeasure with them in a national address over how they refused to do as they were told by him, which was to arrest his chief opposition critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes. on a warrant-less arrest order and launch court martial proceedings agaisnt him . He lashed out at the military in his televised address for disrespecting his democratic mandate and being ungrateful for the significant boost he has administered to armed forces’ salaries and benefits.

 “I’m not trying to win you over. It’s because I was elected president. Now you have the mandate to protect the people and preserve the nation. You want to destroy that? That’s okay,” he complained in the address referring to the armed forces.

Strange how a dictator in making plays the 'democratic' card when he doesn't get his own way.

Philippines: Army foils bid by Islamic terrorists to capture another town.

(Datu Paglas)  The Filipino armed forces have foiled a plot by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) to take over a town and then fight to the death in which to ensure it costs the government (In lives, money and prestige) to take back the town thus increasing the pressure on Manilla to allow the Island of Mindanao to cede from empire and become a pure Islamic state.

The army moved after BIFF started setting up for the takeover of the town by laying up booby traps and IEDs around the town and having their members mingle with the locals. Having learnt the hard way regards fighting Islamic terrorists in Marawi city last year which saw over 1000 people killed , over 1 million people displaced and the destruction of the city over a period of 5 months, they went in hard using armoured vehicles, infantry mortars with the air-force carrying out airstrikes in which to rid the town of the BIFF terrorists. So far 5 of these thugs have been reported killed with another 4 injured.

Philippines: 15 terrorists killed in army offensive.

(Manila) At least 15 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) were killed during a military operation in Liguasan Marsh in Maguindanao over the weekend. 

Which targeted a bomb factory, where up to 100 terrorists were suspected to be holding out. Sixth Infantry Division Commander Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana speaking to the media stated:

"Fifteen were confirmed killed, 10 were injured, and two others were captured,"

According to Sobejana, the two captured BIFF members are currently being interrogated. They have been  identified as Ustadz Anwar Ali, 22, and Asnaya Ali, 20.

Philippines: Battle of Marawi

(Marawi) The Battle of Marawi  was a five-month-long armed conflict in the city Marawi, that started on 23 May 2017, and ended 23 Oct 2017 .The battle was between Philippine security forces and terrorists affiliated with the Islamic State  who captured the city after a failed attempt by the police to capture a terrorist leader.

The ensuring siege and battle saw  approx. 6000 troops facing off against 1000 terrorists, with 163 soldiers killed for 973 terrorists and 11 captured. Approx 1.1 million people were displaced and the city was knocked back into the stoneage. The city has been left in ruins and it's unclear when its citizens will be able to return home. estimates suggest that it will cost around $1.1bn to rebuild the city, a task that could take years. The government is working on a peace deal that will give the predominantly Muslim region more autonomy.

Philippines: 100 days later the battle for Marawi continues.

(Marawi)  On the 23^rd May Islamic terrorists took control of the City of Marawi and 101 days later, the battle continues. Granted the Philippines Government has wrested  control  of the vast majority of the city away from the terrorists but they are still in control of parts of the city and on Wednesday the Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte  ordered the military to take a call on bombing the mosques where Islamists have held hostages.

"The option is already yours, because we cannot have stalemate for over one year,"

The battle for the city is the worse seen in the Philippines since WW2 , causalities  as of yesterday are:

• 620 terrorists  killed.
• 9 terrorists captured.
• 142 government forces killed.
• 60 government forces missing. (Local Policemen)
• 1,050+ government forces wounded.
• 68 civilians dead.(23 due to illness)

Philippines: Over 80 people killed over past 3 days after President Duterte said he wanted to see dozens of bodies per day

(Manila)  Not content with the ongoing crisis in the south of the country where after 3 months the battle for the city of Marawi still continues. Death toll as of the 13th August:

562 militants killed
9 militants captured
128 government forces killed
60 government forces missing
900 government forces wounded
119 civilians dead 

President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs continues unabated  with over 80 people killed by the Police over the past few days. Police operations in various parts of Bulacan, a province north of the capital, left 32 “drug dealers/users killed and over 100 others arrested.

Duterte has praised the operation in Bulacan, which took place from Monday night until Tuesday afternoon, and urged police to kill dozens of drug suspects every day.

“The ones who died recently in Bulacan, 32, in a massive raid, that was good,” Duterte said in a speech to an anti-crime organisation that has backed the drugs war. “If we could kill another 32 every day, then maybe we can reduce what ails this country.”

Naturally Human rights groups have complained about the killings of so many people associated with drugs  by saying he may be overseeing crimes against humanity in his brutal anti-drugs campaign, which has left thousands dead. In return Duterte  has said he would investigate human rights defenders criticising him, or order officers to kill them.

“One of these days, you human rights groups, I will also investigate you. That’s the truth. For conspiracy,” If they are obstructing justice, you shoot them, So they can really see the kind of human rights.”

Philippines: Marawi crisis

(Marawi) On the 23rd of May, a failed attempt by the Philippines army to capture Isnilon Hapilon, the leader of the ISIS-affiliated Abu Sayyaf terrorist group, saw said group attack and take control of the city of Marawi with at least 500 armed terrorists.

Within days, the vast majority of the city’s population of around 200,000 had been evacuated, leaving the scene clear for a showdown between the military and Islamic terrorism. Within a week, the government forces supported by the US had retaken 80% of the city.

However, these Islamic jihadists have held onto that final 20% of the city for the past 3 weeks. So far, the total death toll up to the 22nd June comes in at 499. Take off the 38 people killed in the run up to the beginning of Ramadan, and that gives us a figure of 461.

(Mindanao) After Islamic rebels took the town of Marawi on the 23rd May 2017, the Philippines has sent reinforcements to the area in which to take back the city, thus setting the stage for the bunfight that is currently ripping the town apart. However, the task hasn't been made any easier by how underfunded the military in the Philippines has been for a large number of years. Which kind of explains why they have been up-armouring their armoured cars with... wood.

(Marawi City) The bodies of 16 people killed by Islamist terrorists have been found in the southern part of the Philippines. The 16 bodies were found in two groups, said Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla, a military spokesman.

Eight found near Mindanao State University were four men, three women and a child, Padilla said. The other eight were discovered in a ditch at the edge of the city with their hands tied and gunshot wounds to the head, A cardboard sign near them said, "Munafik," which means "hypocrite" or "traitor."

The Philippines: Army troops in counteroffensive against ISIS-linked jihadists in Marawi

(MANILA) – Troops began the fightback yesterday in which to drive the Maute terrorist group out of the southern city of Marawi.

At least 44 have been killed in the ongoing fighting in Marawi City, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said late Thursday night. Thirteen government troops were killed since the gun battle started on Tuesday afternoon. Six soldiers were killed in fresh clashes Thursday, bringing the death toll among soldiers at 11. 18 members of the Maute group were killed in fresh gun battle as government troops cleared two bridges heading towards Bangulo. This brings the fatalities on the terrorist groups to 31.

Terrorist group Abu Sayyaf seized the city on Tuesday night after a failed security forces raid to capture the extremists’ commander and preacher Isnilon Hapilon. Torching the cathedral, they took 14 hostages — including a Catholic priest — and beheaded a police chief whom they had captured at a roadblock.

Philippines: ISIS gunmen take control of Marawi city

(Manila)  Terrorists from a group linked to Isis have stormed a city in the Philippines resulting in thousands of civilians having to flee the area . 

The terrorists from the Muslim group called Maute set about on their “Kill them all in the name of Allah day” following a failed raid by soldiers on Tuesday on a hideout of the terrorist group, in which to capture Isnilon Hapilon, (Leader of the Abu Sayyaf group notorious for piracy, banditry and for kidnapping and beheading Westerners.)which triggered clashes and chaos across the largely Muslim city of Marawi.

Troops are currently trying to contain the terrorists who have taken over large parts of city, setting building ablaze and taking Christian’s hostage in which to use as leverage. Father Socrates Villegas, president of Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines reported:

“They have threatened to kill the hostages if the government forces unleashed against them are not recalled,”

Both soldiers and rebels have set up checkpoints and road blocks on routes in and out of Marawi and streams of men, women and children are fleeing the area.

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared martial law and a state of emergency in the province of Mindano.

Philippines: Grenade attack on church injures 12 people

(Midsayap) On the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.

Elements of the minority Islamic population have been partaking in a very violent mission in which to cede the island from Manila and turn it into the latest Islamic paradise. A grenade was thrown at a police car parked outside the Shrine of Santo Nino church as people flocked to celebrate Mass on Christmas Eve. The resulting explosion saw between 12 and16 people injured.

Philippines: Army kills 11 Islamic terrorists

(Manila) Soldiers killed 11 members of an Islamic guerrilla group on Thursday, an army commander said.

Troops battled rebels of the small but violent Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters for hours on Mindanao island which also saw an 11-year-old girl get caught in crossfire and killed, said Colonel Cirilito Sobejana. "It's very unfortunate," Sobejana told reporters:

"In every war, there's really collateral damage. We cannot yet establish whose side had killed the girl."

Sobejana said army helicopters attacked the rebels with rockets and 19 of them were wounded. On the government side, he said two soldiers were wounded. The largely Christian Philippines has for decades been plagued by insurgencies by Muslim rebels in its southern islands.

Officials have confirmed  that Abu Sayyaf militants beheaded a Robert Hall Canadian man, the second Canadian hostage to be killed in two months after their demands for a large ransom were not met. Mr Hall was abducted from a marina last September along with another Canadian, a Norwegian and a Filipino. The other Canadian, former mining executive John Ridsdel, was beheaded in April. A video obtained by Philippine police officials showed Hall in an orange shirt and kneeling in front of a black Islamic State-style flag before he was killed in a jungle area.
