Malawi: UN expert demands that Christian schools overturn their Hijab ban,

(Mangochi) The other day I mentioned how Muslims living in Malawi (which is 87% Christian) decided to demolish  the local church after 2 girls (Children of noted radical Muslims) who attended the local Christian school decided to flaunt the school rules on dress and turned  up wearing the hijab. The school sent them home and in return the Muslims rioted demolished the church, the home of a priest,  kicked a teacher out of his home and forced the schools to be closed.

Well it appears that Ms. Maria Jose Torres, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Malawi isn't happy how a christian school which has a dress code acted when the daughters of 2 Islamic agitators were sent home for taking no notice of the school dress code and has demanded that the country sets aside Christian school dress codes for Muslims.

Funny how I've never heard the UN demand that Islamic schools do likewise regards not covering up for allah when it comes to Non-Muslims.

Malawi: Muslims riot over hijad and demolish Church, in return Christians do likewise with mosque.

(Mangochi) The other day I mentioned how Muslims living in Malawi (which is 87% Christian) decided to smash up bars in the tourist town of Manochi as alcohol is against their religion. Well buoyed by their behaviour they decided to follow up that fine example of religious intolerance by demolishing the local church after 2 girls (Children of noted radical Muslims) who attended the local Christian school decided to flaunt the school rules on dress and turned  up wearing the hijab. The school sent them home and in return the Muslims rioted demolished a church, the home of a priest kicked a teacher out of his home and forced the schools to be closed.

The locals having had enough of them, decided to pay the local mosque a visit and demolished that. Police had to use tear gas in which to bring order to the area. 

Malawi: Muslims riot and target liquor shops because they objected to alcohol being sold.

(Mangochi)  Gangs of Muslims in Malawi felt so offended over the selling of alcohol in the their town where they live ,that they decided to take matters into their own hands and proceeded to smash up a number of bars. Not only that but they demanded that those who sell alcohol do so from their own area, obviously referring to areas where non-Muslims live and work. Not only that but the town is something of a tourist destination due to the views over the lake, So the bars are there for a good reason a place for visitors to spend money.

But here’s the catch Malawi is predominantly Christian with around 87% of the population being so, Muslims on the otherhand represent around 11% of the population.  Police have arrested 15 bigots and them charged them with malicious damage and inciting violence.

Malawi : Police crack down on 'vampire' lynch mobs

(Lilongwe) In Malawi a landlocked African country sandwiched between Mozambique and Zambia  a fear of vampires has gripped the land. So much so that over the past month 9 people have been murdered by mobs who react to the slightest rumour. In the latest death a man with epilepsy was burned to death. It is believed the vampire rumours started across the border in Mozambique where rumours of blood sucking have led to violence this week, there protesters have targeted police because they believe they are protecting the supposed vampires. Villagers in these areas believe human blood sucking is a ritual practised by some to become rich.

In reply President Peter Mutharika has appealed for calm in the four districts where the mob attacks have taken place, saying this week that "my government will offer protection from these alleged blood-suckers."

"If people are using witchcraft to suck people's blood, I will deal with them and I ask them to stop doing that with immediate effect,"

And when you have the president of a country saying he will protect the people from vampires, it helps you understand why the third world is known as the Third world.
