Ethiopia to ‘Fully Accept’ Eritrea Peace Deal From 2000

(Addis Ababa) Ethiopia has stated that it would accept a 2000 peace agreement with Eritrea over their disputed border, a huge step toward resolving one of Africa’s bloodiest and most protracted conflicts. Eritrea triggered the war by invading Ethiopia. Problem there was, Ethiopia is a lot bigger and can and did bring much more forces to the fight resulting in Eritrea being pushed back .  At the end of the war, Ethiopia not only held all of the disputed territory it had also advanced into Eritrea. The war left around  80,000 people dead. They both signed a peace agreement in 2000, but the Ethiopians never accepted the findings of a UN boundary commission and ever since then hundreds of people have been killed over how both sides have claimed the town of Badme.

Well the new Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has decided to settle the case once and for all and said today that he will abide to the UN ruling.

Lets hope this leads to peace and new beginnings for both countries.

Eritrea: President says Israel should offer $50,000 and not $3500 to get illegals to leave.

(Asmara)  For some very strange reason people don’t like living in Eritrea, which is why so many (in their hundreds of thousands)  have left the country in which to seek a new life elsewhere. Whilst most young Eritreans  are fleeing national service, which was established in 1995 and recently extended to 18 months. It isn’t hard to see that they simply want a better life paid for by European tax payers.

One such country plagued by Eritrean migrants is Israel. Unlike the vast majority of countries around the world , Israel simply does not have the space to accept hundreds of thousands of economic migrants , and so of late it has rolled out a plan to deport thousands of economic migrants, who let’s be honest, belong to countries which are in a state of war with the country. Whilst Eritrea isn’t at war with Israel, thousands of its citizens have upped sticks in which to try and make Israel their new home.   However as said Israel isn’t having any of this and has started shipping out these economic chancers  with $3500 in their pocket.

That hasn't gone down well with  Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, oh he isn't complaining about why so many have left the country, nor is he complaining about Israel kicking these people out. He is aggravated over how Israel is only handing over $3500 to each returnee,  he thinks that they should receive $50,000 each for all the hardships they have had to endure in which to illegally enter another country.

You couldn't make it up if you tried.

France: 5 migrants shot, 13 injured during mass brawl

(Calais)  6 Eritrean  teenagers were shot this evening by an Afghan youth when rival gangs from Afghanistan and Eritrea decided to play king of the castle at a food line in the French city of Calais.

Apparently the whole shindig transpired when an Afghan pulled out his gun and shot 6 Eritreans 4 of whom are in a serious condition , this descended into a huge brawl that lasted 2 hours which involved around 100 teenagers from Eritrea and around 30 Afghans . Then after than had quietened down, the whole thing kicked off again at an industrial estate a few miles away where police had to be brought in to protect Afghans from hoards of Eritreans.  At least 13 more people were wounded due to "blows from iron bars".

And to think that the liberals in the UK demand that we take in these poor little defenceless children.

Heavy fighting reported along Eritrea-Ethiopia border raising fears of war

Intense fighting has been reported along the border areas between Eritrea and Ethiopia on Sunday (12 June), raising the spectre of a fresh war breaking out in the eastern African region. Troops from both countries are thought to have been involved in the heavy clashes, which came just days after Eritrea marked its 25 years of independence from it's neighbouring country of Ethiopia.

The Eritrean regime blamed the Ethiopian forces of unleashing a full-scale attack on the frontier. A short statement, released by the country's information ministry, read: "The TPLF [Tigrayan People's Liberation Front] has today, Sunday 12 June, 2016, unleaded an attack against Eritrea on the Tsorona Central Front. The purpose and ramifications of this attack are not clear. The government of Eritrea will issue further statements on the unfolding situation."

Multiple local reports, citing sources and witnesses, have confirmed the presence of heavy artillery and troops in the region. The fighting, which began at dawn on Sunday (12 June), is thought to be ongoing. Unconfirmed reports have also suggest both Eritrean and Ethiopian troops have made incursions into each other's territories.

The purported fighting occurred shortly after the UN published a report accusing the Eritrean regime, led by President Isaias Afwerki, of carrying out crimes against humanity. The UN's commission of inquiry said, on 8 June, that the leaders of the tiny Horn of Africa country should be held accountable at the International Criminal Court (ICC). Eritrea - known as the North Korea of Africa - remained one of the most reclusive and isolated countries in the world, with a poor track record of human rights under Afwerki's regime.

Eritrea launches "surprise attack on Ethiopia"

(Addis Ababa) Just when you think things can't get any worse on this planet, we find that Eritrea has launched a surprise attack on it much bigger (and Christian) neighbour Ethiopia. Two fronts have been reported, the first in the vicinity of Tsorena and the second near the village of Zalanbesa.
