Syrian War Report – November 14, 2016
The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces, the Desert Hawks Brigade, Hezbollah, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) and other pro-government groups are preparing to relaunch offensive operations in multiple fronts inside and outside Aleppo city. The operations will be supported by the Syrian Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces from the air and by Russian and Iranian military advisers on the ground. On Sunday, the army and its allies, using loud speakers, gave militants remaining in eastern Aleppo 24 hours to surrender.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – NOVEMBER 3, 2016: EGYPTIAN OFFICERS ARRIVE IN SYRIA
(Syria) A group of Egyptian officers allegedly arrived in Syria on
November 1 in order to learn from Russian military advisers that are embedded
with government troops at the battle against terrorists across the country. The
development took place amid the ongoing expansion of military cooperation
between Russia and Egypt. In October 2016, Russian airborne troops arrived in Egypt
to participate in a joint military drill with the host country. The drill was
codenamed “Defenders of Friendship 2016”.

Syrian War Report – November 2, 2016: ISIS and Al-Nusra Attempt to Cut Off Supply Line to Aleppo
(Syria) The Syrian Air Force has delivered a high number of air
strikes in western Aleppo, targeting militants in in Al-Assad, Rashidin 4,
Rashidin 5, the 1070 Apartment Project (1070 AP), Southern Sawmills and along
the road to Khan Tuman. Since November 1, the fighting in the area has become
stationary. The western part of the al-Assad Neighborhood is contested. The
al-Nusra led coalition, Jaish al-Fatah, controls the southwestern part of the
1070 AP. The militants’ attacks on the
3000 Apartment Project have failed.
The Syrian military has deployed advanced Russian-made T-90 main battle tanks to western Aleppo, according to the video released on October 31. T-90 MBTs were observed in the Minyan area where they were participating in operations against Jaish al-Fatah, a Jabhat al-Nusra-led coalition of militant groups. Last weekend, elite units of the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces and the Desert Hawks Brigade were deployed in Aleppo to counter the militants’ offensive operation to capture the al-Assad Military Academy and the nearby areas. Both formations operate T-90 MBTs supplied by Moscow over the last year. The government forces massively use tanks, artillery, warplanes and helicopters to attrit Jaish al-Fatah’s manpower in non-populated urban areas.

Syrian War Report – October 11, 2016
Turkish-backed militant groups that operate under the brand of the Free Syrian Army, supported by the Turkish Armed Forces, have seized more areas from ISIS in northern Aleppo. The Ankara-led forces took control of the villages of Yahmul, Jarez, Sheikh Rih, al-Bel, Baraghitah and Tawaqli near the strategic town of Azaz in the province of Aleppo. Now, they are aiming to re-take Sawran. If this is done, the nearby town of Dabiq will likely become the next target of Erdogan’s Operation Euphrates Shield.
The joint forces of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), Failaq al-Sham, Jabhat Ansar al-Din and a number of less-known militant groups announced on Monday a fresh military operation, called ‘Ashoura Battle’, in northern Latakia. The operation is set to be focused on the Syrian army’s positions in the Kurdish Mountains. Pro-militants sources have already claimed that the so-called “moderate opposition” captured some “strategic points”. Nonetheless, these reports still have to be confirmed. The operation is most likely aimed to draw the Syrian military attention from the city of Aleppo and northern Hama where the militants’ defenses are collapsing under the pressure of the pro-government forces.
Russia is planning to expand its logistic facility in Tartus into a full-fledged permanent naval base. By now, the facility in Tartus has been used to resupply Russian warships during missions in the Mediterranean and to deliver supplies to the Syrian government forces.
Meanwhile, reports have appeared that Russia is in talks with Egypt to lease military facilities, including an air base in the town of Sidi Barrani near the Mediterranean. If the agreement is made, the military base will be ready for use by 2019, according to the reports.

Syria: Situation sitrep
(Syria) The situation inside the country has changed all for the better of the regime . In Aleppo the siege which was broken a month ago has been reinstated , however it has been costly,
as this video shows a BMP V-IED been used to clear an area of Government troops in which to stop the encirclement of the city
To the north, the Turks have captured the entire area between the two kurdish enclaves thus preventing them from linking up. However they too, have faced stiff opposition.AaS BMP car bomb used against regime militia fighters in al-Amiriyah, #Aleppo.
