UK: Snowflakes at Cambridge offended on being told that choosing to "enjoy their social life" could harm their grades.

(Cambridge) It isn't hard nowadays in which to find somebody taking offence at the slightest thing. Today it is the turn of Natural Sciences Professor Eugene Terentjev  who concerned about a rise in drinking games  at the world famous university e-mailed first year science  students at Queens' College where he advised them that choosing to "enjoy their social life" could harm their grades on the "very hard" course:

Well faster than you can drink your next can of cheap lager the Student Union took offence and set out a breaking news Facebook message  to all ,offering counselling to anybody who was mentally affected by the above missive.

The email was highlighted by Student Unions as they believe it serves as a telling example of a dangerous and unhealthy culture in Cambridge of encouraging students to prioritise work over mental well-being. It appears that at such a young age, they don't seem to understand the risks of becoming a pisshead as much of a risk at all. But a letter warning them off from doing so warrents a visit to the local shrink. Pathetic infantile behaviour from the current generation of snowflakes.
