Czech Republic: student sentenced for supporting Islamic terrorism

(Třebíč) 20 year old  Filip Caha,  has received a seven-month suspended sentence with a 15-month probation for approving the 2016 terror attacks in Berlin and Ankara, being the second Czech punished for supporting terrorism.


In court it was revealed that Caha made no secret of his enthusiasm for Islamic State and tried hard to encourage others to join his cause usually by showing them scenes depicting torturing of people.
After he expressed that more people should have been killed in Berlin. (After the truck incident last year)  and approved of the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Ankara the college he attended reported him to the Police.  In court Caha did not contest the sentence , however his father wasn’t happy, by claiming it was a witchhunt:
"I think that my son was sentenced for talking about terrorism with his friends,"
He forgot to mention, friends who reported him ,
