UK: ISIS mother of 5 spared jail due to fear her children would suffer

(London) 40 year old mother of 5 Farhana Ahmed has just been spared jail in the Uk, because the judge who sat in on her case of being a member of ISIS and who openly encouraged Muslims to carry out terrorist attacks in the UK took pity on her 5 children who would have been left without a mother if she sent down.

Farhana Ahmed, from London, to the Facebook group called 'Power Rangers'  The closed section, which had 1,406 members, described itself as a 'pro-ISIS group, the purpose of it was  to connect jiahists from different parts of the world and to help each other' carry out terrorist acts. Ahmed who was a 'prolific' contributor used the fake name Kay Adams to encourage terrorism  on the site between September and November 2015.

However Judge Christopher Moss QC took pity on her when it was revealed that her 5 children (Aged between 6  and 16) whom she home schooled (which at a stroke hints towards then being as polarised as her)  had suffered 'greatly' after she was arrested in July last year and held in custody. Taking pity on her and handed out a two-year sentence suspended for two years after pleading guilty to one count of encouraging terrorism and three counts of disseminating a terrorist publication. He closed off with the following statement:
'You express remorse for your actions which I regard as completely genuine. 'It's quite clear to me that you regret in the strongest possible way your criminal conduct.'
No charges were made of how she and her children were denied entry to Turkey in 2013 (but were denied entry) or how she sent thousands of pounds to her husband who tried to enter Syria via Turkey. He has since returned to the UK .
