Australia: Allah Ackba knifeman arrested after ISIS-inspired knife attack

(Minto) 22-year-old Ihsas Khan the was arrested by police yesterday in the Minto area of Sydney


after he attacked 59-year-old Wayne Greenhalgh. When Sivei Ah Chong, a witness, asked him what he was doing, Khan replied:
"These people are killing my brothers and sisters in Iraq.'"
Mr Chong then came to Mr Greenhalgh's aid, attacking Mr Khan with a wooden paling (by smashing him over the head with it) until police arrived, whereupon Khan charged at the approaching police car, sprinting about 50 metres repeatedly attacking the driver’s side door with his knife before they were forced to repeatedly tazer Khan to subdue him.

Khan has been charged with committing a terror act and attempted murder after his arrest. NSW Police Force Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn said police will allege he was "inspired by ISIS".


The Grand Mufti of Australia, Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed, has condemned the attack.
