In Aleppo, the Syrian army backed by Hezbollah has moved to close the gap in their siege which was opened up by the militants around a fortnight ago. Supported by tanks, artillery and from the air, they have advanced to the artillery school and defeated a militant fightback which has cost them dearly. The video below shows the militant retreat after they failed to take Umm al-Qura hill.
