Ethiopia:South Sudananese gunmen kill 28 Ethiopians

(Gambela) Over 1000 Gunmen from South Sudan crossed over into Ethiopia this past weekend  killed 28 people and kidnapped 43 children. The raids on Sunday and Monday occurred in Gambella's Gog and Jor areas, which border South Sudan's Boma region,

Chol Chany, a regional government spokesman on Wednesday stated:
"Murle bandits carried out the attack. They fled along with 43 children, the (Ethiopian military) is pursuing them. The assailants haven't crossed over to South Sudan yet."
This week's raids took place almost a year after similar raids in the province's Jikawo and Lare areas, which border South Sudan's Upper Nile State. Then, over 200 people died and around 160 children were kidnapped. About 100 children have managed to return to Ethiopia, but the rest remain in the kidnappers' hands.

I'm sure the UN will be right on this, just as soon as they finish condemning the latest Israeli construction project and approve the "apartheid" report. Those are much more immediate concerns than the mere protection of human life. Especially since they haven't yet figured how to blame Israel for those pesky kidnappings and murders.
