UN: Most Palestinian Dead Ignored Israeli Warnings

Despite Palestinian charges the UN acknowledges Israeli actions to protect civilians.
(Truth Revolt) Shockingly, Despite Israel's extraordinary steps to avoid them, civilian casualties are one of the tragic results of "Operation Protective Edge." As the Palestinians continue to accuse Israel of targeting civilians, a most unlikely source, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), has acknowledged Israel's attempt to avoid hurting civilians.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has accused Israel of intentionally targeting civilians. "This war is not against Hamas or any faction, but is against the Palestinian people," Abbas said on Wednesday, "It's genocide - the killing of entire families is genocide by Israel against our Palestinian people."

As former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren explained during a conference call Wednesday:
Israel is making extraordinary efforts to avoid civilian casualties. Many of the methods are known to you, it’s dropping leaflets, it’s making text messages, it’s making phone calls, the so-called knock on the roof where the Israeli Air Force fires missiles without any explosive charges onto roofs and lets people know that the building is going to be struck. It’s not a foolproof system, but it has proven successful in reducing civilian casualties, and that is certainly the objective of the IDF.
