Turkish President warns Israel against launching ground operation against Gaza

(Ankara) On the 3rd of Oct 2012, shells from inside Syria hit Turkey. In response, Turkey launched a week long attack on Syria, killing twelve Syrian soldiers and destroying five Syrian tanks, three armoured vehicles, one mortar weapon, one ammunition vehicle and two anti-aircraft guns, with many other military vehicles had been damaged.

The Turkish President secured a one-year mandate from parliament to send troops into foreign nations, citing rising national security threats, and he got NATO to send a number of Patriot Missile batteries to protect the Turks from Syrian missile attacks. So, you can gather from that that the Turks don't like it when the neighbours lob 21 shells into their country.

Since June, tiny little Gaza has launched over 500 Missiles into Israel. Israel has retaliated in kind, however, for over 700 airstrikes, it has managed to kill only 100 people. (One Syrian attack on Turkey killed 5 people.) So, either the IDF are crap at killing people by taking 7 airstrikes to kill one person, or they are targeting very, very carefully.

Well, the brave fellows at Hamas, feeling the need to shout out to the Islamic world beset with blood, guts and gore by the faithful uttering 'Allah Akba' as they go bang, have continued using their holy month of Ramadan to wage war for no reason whatsoever other than they can.

With that in mind, the IDF has massed thousands of troops on the border in which to go in and put paid to the Islamic idiots of Hamas who start a fight and then bitch when they end up on the losing end.

Which is why I am not surprised at how the Turkish President Abdullah Gül has warned Israel not to carry out a ground assault on Gaza Strip, calling the country to stop its air strikes on civilians as political parties across the spectrum continue to react against the deadly raids.

Later in the day, speaking to reporters after Friday prayers in Ankara, Gül warned Israel of “planting seeds of hate” if it continues the military operations.
“Israel, as though exploiting, is bombing Palestine from sea and land, destroying houses and killing innocent people in front of the world’s eyes.”
Hang on. It's OK for Turkey to defend itself, but not for Israel to greater provocation? Ah, that must be because to Muslims the world over, they and only they can be victims.
