Netanyahu to Israel Electric Corporation: Do not endanger lives of workers by repairing electricity supply to southern Gaza.
(Ynet) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom instructed the Israel Electric Corporation to not endanger the lives of workers by repairing the electricity supply to residents in the southern Gaza Strip.
Earlier Sunday, a rocket hit a high voltage power line in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip, causing disruptions in the electricity supply to approximately 70,000 residents in the northern Strip.
The IEC announced that in accordance with the instructions, the malfunctioning power line will be repaired after once the security situation allows it.
