(Mumbai) Expressing concerns over the treatment of Muslims in Burma, over 7 Islamic groups in India decided to hold a protest day in which to express their anger. Of course, this being Ramadan, you'd think the Indian police would have had an easy time. But no. As in Aesop's fable 'The Scorpion and the Frog', it didn't take long for the true nature of the faithful to come to the fore, and so they had a riot resulting in 2 dead, 100 injured, of which 45 were policemen. Also in the nature of Muslims came this statement from one of the Islamic groups which took part in the riot:

The people who indulged in violence cannot be Muslims. No Muslim would dare to do anything like this during a Ramzan fast. Some mischief mongers have taken advantage of the situation.Tell you what, there is a hell of a lot of "non-Muslims" killing others in which to give Islam a bad name.
