Ramadan death toll round-up, August 11, 2012

(Afghanistan) An Afghan policeman opened fire on fellow policemen at checkpoint in Dilaram district and before he was shot dead, managed to kill 10 of his fellow officers.

Elsewhere, 21 Afghan soldiers have been killed in the past 24 hours in bomb and gun attacks.

(Iraq) In northern Iraq, gunmen came across a bunch of children cooling off in a canal like children do. After asking them a few questions, the gunmen decided to let rip with their machine guns, killing 6 children and injuring 3 more.

(Pakistan) A gunfight across the Pakistan/Iran border saw 3 people killed today. Apparently, Pakistani huntsmen were shot at across the border by Iranian border guards, killing two. They, of course, returned fire killing an Iranian.

On the other side of the country, Pakistani rangers came across smugglers returning from India and asked them to stop. Naturally, being Pakistani, they replied with rifle fire. Unfortunately for the smugglers, the rangers had machine guns, which is why 2 smugglers got shot dead.

(Yemen) An attempted prison breakout in Jaar saw the fervent Al Qaeda idiot trying to escape shot dead. Meanwhile, an ambush on a military vehicle saw 2 soldiers killed and 3 injured.

(Lebanon) A dispute between two families in Beruit's southern suburb of Burj Barajneh saw light weapons deployed and 1 person shot dead. The gunfight only stopped when the army deployed to the area with bigger weapons.

Ramadan death count moves up to 2,465.
