(Cairo) During the 80s, Western nations had no problem accommodating Islamic terrorists within their midst, basing that stance on the belief that these peaceful holy warriors were only interested in attacking those they opposed (women/gays/apostates/Jews/Israel), and as long as they didn't shit on their own doorstep, they were more than happy to turn a blind eye to the homicidal tendencies which are brainwashed into the young of the Islamic faith from an early age.
Then came 9/11, followed by Bali, Madrid and London. The West woke up to the harsh facts that sleeping with an insidious cult such as radical Islam doesn't make for harmonious relationships, and since then have gone well out of their way to curb the activities of these so called followers of a very peaceful religion.
The thing is, the vast majority of these jihadists arrived from their home locations where the authorities did what the West is doing now. (And how the West used to preach human rights to those governments.)
Well, with the so called Arab Spring and the rise of religious political parties, those very same pious bigots who relocated over here in which to carry out the word of Allah have taken to returning to their homelands in the hope that the new Sharia-run governments will afford them the luxury to carry on by spreading the word of Allah (hello, little girl, and what's your name?) and oppress as many people as they can.
Unfortunately for these fledgling Islamic governments (Afghanistan/Egypt/Libya/Tunisia/Turkey), they have found that these idiots feel that not enough is being done to spread the word of Allah, and so they have gone out themselves in which to show the people in power hows its done.
This explains the attacks in all of the above countries on people who they feel aren't respecting Islam enough. (The murder of a young boy in Egypt for walking with a girl, the burning of girls' schools in Afghanistan, the shooting dead of military personal in Libya, the attacks on Jews and women in Tunisia.)
Like the West during the 80s, these young Islamic governments have taken up the cause and become more religiously right-wing in which to pull the carpet from under the supporters of these pious bigots and regain some of the public support. (Which is why alcohol has been banned in Egypt on all holidays now, why women's rights in Afghanistan/Tunisia/Turkey have started to become more constrained, gay rights in Turkey likewise.)
Well, it appears that the attack on the Egyptian checkpoint by Allah's favourite terrorists, were 16 Egyptian soldiers were murdered in cold blood, hasn't gone down with the public. Protest after protest on the streets demanding action has shown the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood government that the people can't be palmed off with the usual excuses that Israel was behind this.
Which is why today, the Egyptian government launched a second wave of attacks on Allah's favourite murderers, dispatching 7 of them to that great mosque in the ground, and after closing down the tunnels between Egypt and Gaza yesterday, sent in heavy machinery to finish the job for once.
It seems that for now, the Egyptian public is having none of this blame the Jews angle, and like the people in the West, have woken up to the fact that deeply pious Islamic bigots are not as peaceful as they make out to be. Which kind of explains why during Friday prayers at a mosque in Sinai, a mullah who called on the people to support the idiots who killed those soldiers, saw his flock walk out of the mosque in disgust.
Ramadan death count moves up to 2,472.
