(Mogadishu) This past week the 2 northern autonomous regions of Somalia: Puntland and Somaliland have decided to play king of the castle over the ownership of Tuka Raq village, situated between the 2 regions and which Somaliland took by force last month. The thing is, it isn't far from Puntlands capital of Garowe and as honour is at stake both sides have been sending in armed men in which to win this latest chapter of 'King of the castle'
The first bout of fighting last week saw 63 people killed, this was followed last Thursday past with an additional 36 people killed. As is always the case the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the United States among other nations called for an immediate cease-fire and dialogue. However as the world has seen so many times before, honour for these people always overrules common sense.
