A religious terrorist court in the Gaza Strip on Monday sentenced five
Palestinians to death after they were found guilty of collaborating with
Israel. Three of those convicted were
from Gaza City, aged 31, 38, and 41, without providing their names. All three
were sentenced to death by firing squad.A 52-year-old resident of the town of
Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and 31-year-old from Nuseirat refugee camp in
central Gaza, meanwhile, were sentenced to death by hanging. A sixth individual
was sentenced to 10 years in prison. As usual Amnesty International remains silent.
The body of a man who had been missing for seven days, was
found Monday and police later arrested a suspect for his murder, The victim has
been identified as 37-year-old Mohammad
al-Masri, from the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Following
investigations, a suspect was summoned for interrogation, who confessed to
murdering and hiding al-Masri's body.
