Louisville, KY: 200 people evacuated from Jewish Community Center after threat received

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --The Jewish Community Center has been evacuated because of an apparent but unconfirmed threat.

The center sent a text message to parents whose children are enrolled in summer camp there. It reads, "There is an unconfirmed threat to JCC. LMPD is doing a walk through to take every precaution. Limited access to campus. Children are out of the building."

WDRB crews on the scene at Dutchmans Lane confirm police are checking the building.

A JCC spokesperson confirms a threat was made but refused to disclose details. The center hosts several summer camp and there were many children there at the time of the threat. About 200 people were evacuated.

Dispatchers say there are no reports of any injuries.
