Ramadan Death Count: Round up, 21/06/17


(Mali) The final death toll from the hotel attack on Sunday has risen from 2 to 5 plus all 4 attackers have been killed.

(Mali) Thirty-one people were killed over the weekend in central Mali as ethnic groups clashed over land. Nomadic Fulani people and farmers from the Dogon ethnic group have engaged in tit-for-tat violence sparked by Fulanis grazing their cattle on Dogon land. The Dogons also accuse the Fulanis of colluding with cleric Amadou Koufa, whose Islamist group recently joined the Group to support Islam and Muslims.

(Somalia) 15 people were killed and another 18 wounded when a suicide bomber driving a milk delivery van targeted a government building in the capital.

(Libya) A car bomber blew himself up overnight in a failed attack near a security checkpoint outside the Libyan oil port of Es Sider.

(Afghanistan) After ISIS set up shop last week Tora Bora, OBL's old backyard, losing up to 200 jihadists in the process and hurting the Taliban in the process. The Afghan army took the opportunity to strike whilst they were still weak on the ground. Which is why today they have reported they have cleared Tora Bora of ISIS leaving 44 terrorists dead, and 22 wounded.
