(Kabul) Prisoners in Afghanistan’s
largest prison on the outskirts of Kabul, which houses thousands of inmates,
including scores of Taliban insurgents and members of other hard-line Islamist
groups were happy when the guards carried out a drug search. So they rioted and
in the resulting clashes 4 prisoners were killed and 13 injured. 20 prison
guards were also injured.
(Farah province) The Taliban came off third best when attacks
on security posts in the province of Fatah were beaten back by the soldiers on
duty. In total 16 Taliban thugs were killed and another 21 injured in their
failed attempt to murder death kill.
(Jalalabad) three people were killed and another 20 injured
when 3 bombs were detonated inside a market in the city of Jalalabad simply
