(SINGAPORE:) The authorities in the city state weren't happy
when a video of Nalla Mohamed Abdul Jameel the Chief Imam at the Jamae Chulia Mosque surfaced of him reciting at
Friday prayers an old Arabic text The text read: “God help us against Jews and
Christians”, which is not an extract from the Quran.
The incident came under police investigation and today he was handed
a fine of S$4,000, ($10,000 US) after pleading guilty to a charge of promoting enmity
between different groups on grounds of religion or race. The Ministry of Home
Affairs (MHA) said in a separate press release on Monday that Nalla has paid
the fine and will be repatriated back to India
The imam, had on Friday apologised in
front of Christian, Sikh, Taoist, Buddhist and Hindu representatives, as well
as members of the Federation of Indian Muslims, saying that he was "filled
with great remorse" for the inconvenience, tension and trauma caused by
his remarks.
Yeah right, he was caught, its as simple as that.

Good to see at least one country in the world where everybody is treated as an equal in the name of the law. In the UK, he’d be playing the free speech and Islamophobia card in which to shout:

“Look squirrel”
If only more countries took this stance with hate mongers, (And their families) then maybe the world would be a better place.
