(Jerusalem) A ultra-Orthodox Haredim serving with the IDF had to be rescued from a shop in the Mea Shearim neighbourhood in Jerusalem after he was set upon verbally by a crowd of ultra-Orthodox Haredim. His own people. Follow the link for the video of the screaming and baying crowd.
Haredi soldie being rescued by Police
On being rescued the soldier refused to press charges. Yesterday The ‘Jerusalem faction’ of the Lithuanian Orthodox Haredi
sect threatened yesterday to cause major disruptions at Ben Gurion Airport, in yet
another attempt to resist the mandatory conscription of its adherents into the
IDF. The extreme minority faction, whose methods are largely rejected by the
mainstream Haredim community, announced plans to intensify tactics to counter
the arrest of yeshiva students who refuse to draft into the military.
Boy ,how we all laughed at Monty Pythons ‘Life of Brian’ and the People's Front of Judea suicide squad skit and with the Hardim we find it is actually fact and not fiction. F-ing idiots.
Haredim is the plural of Haredi... I would have thought that the singular should have been used... Be that as it may, nobody is proposing to enlist the anti-Zionist Haredim... What they object to is to have to come to the recruitment center in order to get their deferment...
They have no problem using the Israeli state health care system... They have no problem getting their Yeshives funded by the state... They have no problem collecting child payments from the Israeli Social Security...
Frankly, I have to gag at these freeloading leeches!... They are a major reason many young (and not so young) Israelis don't want anything to do with the religious establishment!...
If it were up to me I'd say no state sponsored entitlements UNLESS you served in the IDF or did 3 years of alternate national service!... And no Social Security payments UNLESS you have put into the system!...
