Sudanese editor beaten up for his views on Israel

(Sudan)  The chief editor of the Al-Tayar daily Osman Mirghani recently called for the  for normalisation of ties between Sudan and Israel.

On Friday, the main clerical authority in Sudan issued a fatwa forbidding anyone to suggest they deal with the so-called Zionist entity as it would hurt Muslims’ feelings.

On Saturday evening, masked men attacked Osman at work and hospitalised him. Just to make sure he got the message, they stole all of his electrical appliances.
