Iran hands over Iraqi Su-25s from first Gulf War

(Baghdad) In 1991, Saddam Hussein had his entire air-force seek shelter inside Iran. This included a large number of Su-25 (Frogfoot) aircraft, the exact same type recently sent over from Russia inside crates. It seems that the Iranians have handed these aircraft over, well, actually they flew over yesterday (caught on film below), and as of now, 7 Su-25s are ready for action in Iraq.

Note the camouflage of the above Iranian Su-25
For those of you who don't know, the Su-25 is a Close Air Support Aircraft (CAS), it's virtually a flying tank and is designed only to hit targets on the ground. The pilot sits inside a bed of armour. It has twin 30-mm cannons running down the centre of the fuselage and 11 hardpoints on the wings allowing it to carry enough weaponry to spoil your day.
