Bomb blast inside Nigerian capital city shopping centre kills 21

(Abuja) Nigeria as a country is split religiously virtually in two. The northern half is predominately Islamic and the bottom half is Christian. Muslims in the northern half demanded and won the right to live under Sharia law, and for some strange reason those areas under Sharia law are poorer, less educated, less affluent and a riskier place to live than the Christian half. While people are blown up, shot dead or even kidnapped in the north, life in the south is much safer. However, the Muslims of the North, not content with having ruined their corner of their play tent, have hit on the idea (like most Africans) that the best way to improve their living standards is by taking what other (better off) people have. To that end, Boko Haram wishes to impose its brand of intolerance on the people in the south, and the best way to achieve that aim is by the bullet and the bomb.

Which is why today in the capital city Abuja a bomb was detonated inside the busy Wuse shopping district, resulting in the deaths of over 21 people and leaving over 17 people injured.

What is it about Muslims and their inability to live in peace with anybody, including themselves?
