Ramadan death toll in Pakistan, Sat, 21st July, 2012

(Peshawar) A remote controlled roadside bomb, detonated as a pickup truck went by near the town of Dhog Darra in Pakistan, resulted in the deaths of 3 people and injuring of 8 others.

(Karachi) Gunmen targeted and shot dead a doctor working for the World Health Organisation. In recent days, the Taliban have started a campaign targeting medical staff working in Pakistan, as they claim the work they do is un-Islamic.

In Shikarpur, an argument between two tribes resulted in the deaths of 5 people.

Yesterday in Peshawar, policemen protecting the brother of a slain leader were shot at by 2 gunmen, resulting in the murder of one of the policemen.

(Orakzai) A suicide bomber blew himself up at Spin Tal in Orakzai Agency area on Saturday, killing at least 15 people and wounding 16 others, officials said.

(Gwardar) At least six security personnel were killed and four others injured in a rocket attack on the checkpost of LEAs here Saturday, Geo News reported.

(Karachi) A youth was killed by unidentified gunmen in Landhi area 36-B. His body was taken to Jinnah Hospital. Tension prevailed in the area after the incident.

In another incident, a man, Shoaib, was shot dead by armed motorcyclists while his friend Ishaq was injured in New Karachi. He was an activist of a religious party.

Shafqat, a policeman, succumbed to his bullet injuries in Pak Colony.

A man Muhammad Zafar was killed with sharp pointed scissor outside his home in Sherpao Colony, Quaidabad.
