Doctor who failed to use Sharia law to get out of paying maintenance plays 'Islamophobic' card

(England) How many times have you heard some apologist advocate the installation of Sharia law in the UK, seeing it isn't as bad as the anti-Islam crowd profess, and that actually it is what everybody wants?

Really?

Here's a story which will hopefully set back the attempts to make everybody else in the UK (98% of the population) bend over backwards for Allah.

Dr. Zaid Al-Saffar is the consultant rheumatologist at Scarborough Hospital in North Yorkshire. He married 8 years ago and after 2 children decided that he wanted out. However, as he is a right old tight git, he thought of using Sharia law in which to get out of paying maintenance to his wife, and this was after she signed over any rights to the family home. Which is why in court he opined that under Sharia law, he had no obligation to make maintenance payments, and that, following Islamic practice, his former wife’s family would support her.

Yeah, right.

However, the judge was having none of this religious clap-trap and informed Mr. Saffar that:
‘The rule in this country is that you share and the starting point is equal division.
You came out of the marriage without having made your wife any substantial capital payment.’
Which means that Mr. Saffar has to pay out. After the court verdict, the tight doctor opined:
By playing the system and pretending to be a victim she got everything, which I think is totally unfair.
‘Family law in this country is biased against Muslim people.’
Family law is against Muslim people? Is it? Pray tell us all what faith your wife and children belong to?

Just another odious man who doesn't like to put his hand in his pocket, and puts down his loss of face as... Islamophobia.
