BAGHDAD (AP) – Iraqi police officials say assailants have gunned down a bodyguard for the country's Shiite vice president in a drive-by-shooting in downtown Baghdad.Ramadan death count is now at 276.
The officials say the attack Saturday afternoon in the Karradah neighborhood killed the off-duty bodyguard for Vice President Khudier al-Khuzaie.
A medic at the nearby Ibn al-Nafis hospital confirmed the bodyguard's death.
