(Kaduna) The Nigerian government has enacted a curfew in the
state capital of Kaduna after religious based violence resulted in the deaths of
dozens of people.
President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the deployment on Sunday, as the regional government imposed the measure in Kaduna city after violence broke out on its streets. The clashes followed violence that broke out on Thursday between Muslim and Christian communities in the Kasuwan Magani area of southern Kaduna which left at least 55 people dead.

data-lang="en">The government has relaxed the curfew for a few hours today in which to allow the locals to restock, that said locals MPS are demanding that the curfew not be further relaxed in which to allow hotheads to cool and allow security forces to take full control.
The violence in Kaduna, which has resulted in the deaths of 55 innocent people, is condemnable. The Police have been authorized to do everything possible to restore calm.
