(Bartella) Nine militia members have been arrested by Iraqi
counter-terrorism forces for opening fire on Christians in the Christian town
of Bartella ten miles east of Mosul. The shooting was in response to a protest by the Christians
regards assaults by members of the Hashd al-Shaabi militia against their
minority, as these idiots are Iranian sponsored thugs with only one agenda, they
decided to disperse the peaceful protest by opening fire injuring three men and
two women.
The Shia militia inside Iraq came to prominence during the rise of ISIS when the Iraq army seemed unable to stem their advance. the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization comprising of some 40 militias, which are mainly Shia Muslim groups, formed upon a fatwa by the Iranian but Iraqi based Shia Mullah Ayatollah Alial-Sistani calling for national mobilization against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).And in recognition of their hard work on the 19 December 2016, Iraqi President Fuad Masum approved a law that incorporated PMF/PMU into the country’s armed forces. At a stroke Iran got a say in the running of Iraq as they did with Hezb-allah in Lebanon and just like the Hezballah, the PMF/PMU have refused to disband
Which is why the PMF pushed for the rights of its forces tocarry out cleaning operations in former IISS territories such as Mosul which historically
have been a hotchpotch of non Shia communities, predominantly Sunni Islam
and this is also the area where they have been accused of human rights abuses. Whilst these allegations have been swept under
the carpet regards ISIS fighters, the same cannot be said for non-Muslims and hence arrests after the jackbootedclampdown .
