Russia: Recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in April, why did nobody riot then?

(Moscow) On the 6^th of April 2017 Russia's Foreign Ministry stated that it reaffirms "the status of east Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state...we regard west Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Israel.". Why did nobody riot then?

Granted the statement shared the city between the Pals and Israel. Yet the fact remains the message is no different from the one that the US issued the other day. So on that note did anybody notice any news org mention this?
