(Beijing) It appears that the Mandarins in power in China are still smarting over how the UN sided with the Philippines over how the Chinese dragon is bullying everybody and anybody in the entire China Sea in regards to territorial territory. Beijing claims areas (defined by the nine-dash line) which clearly belong to other nations as depicted in the map below:
Whilst remaining silent on the verdict, it is very clear to the entire world that China isn't going to take any notice of the UN and will continue to expand its empire at the expense of everybody else in the region. Beijing knows only too well that the countries which border its self proclaimed 9 dash line pose no threat to its imperial ambitions, however, they all look towards the US and Australia in which to seek moral support. China knows it cannot intimidate the US, but Australia is another matter. Which is why the Chinese government mouthpiece The Global Times has posted an open threat to Australia for supporting the UN decision and openly states that if any Australian Navy ships enter the South China Sea, they will be open to military attack.
Analysts say that besides trying to please the US, it also intends to suppress China so as to gain a bargaining chip for economic interests. China must take revenge and let it know it's wrong. Australia's power means nothing compared to the security of China. If Australia steps into the South China Sea waters, it will be an ideal target for China to warn and strike.
