(Paris) French police carried out three separate raids on
Tuesday morning, arresting five people and seizing heavy weapons. Police made
the arrests in Roanne in central France, in Rouen and in Villeneuve-d'Ascq in the north. It is understood that officers
seized two pistols 9 mm and two automatic weapons modified.at the raid in
Villeneuve-d'Ascq, The three raids were ordered by Paris prosecutors as part of
a terror investigation.
None of the five detainees, who are between 18 and 22 years of age were known to the police and intelligence services.
