Muslims in Australia claim terrorists have genuine grievances against the country

(Canberra) At a University Forum in Australia, Keysar Trad, founder of the Islamic Friendship Association, related to his audience that young Australian Muslims are joining terror groups because their "blood is boiling" at domestic persecution and international atrocities committed by the West. He also said constant persecution, hypocritical Australian laws, vitriolic media and repeated invasions in the Middle East were pushing young Muslims "to the margins of society" and driving them to radicalisation.

His "Muslims can only be victims in Australia" mindset appears to be backed up by the findings of a survey conducted last year by the University of Queensland, which found that counter-terrorism policy in Australia was breeding anger, backlash, distrust and a siege mentality amongst young Muslims.

What I can’t understand and which none of the above kind of answers is why a perceived sense of betrayal by Australian Muslims against the Australian Government and people for what happened in Guantanamo Bay, what is happening in Syria and for the state of Israel, results in idiots who sought asylum in Australia shooting up a coffee shop inside Sydney or even beheading Muslims, not Australians, in Syria and Iraq.

All I see is religious bigots who just cannot see the woods for the trees for the inability of Muslims to live in peace and harmony with anybody. But what makes this worse is that the left subscribe to their view that indeed Islamic terrorists aren’t to blame but rather it is all the fault of their victims.
