How the media misleads the people

(Gaza) The media loves to promote this view that the Israeli response to the missile attacks from Gaza is disproportionate. Here is a chart issued by the IDF which logs both sides of the story:

Anybody surprised at the much lower the number of Israeli attacks (in red) when correlated against the attacks from Gaza?

Now a number of news orgs love to display pictures of what they presume are Israeli shells which haven't gone off. This is from the bBC:

Palestinians inspect an unexploded Israeli shell on a road in Gaza - nearly 100 Palestinians died on Friday

Funny enough, the bBC unknowingly posted a picture of a 155mm shell directly before the picture above: Notice the size difference, seeing as 155 mm is the largest calibre shell going, but hey, that doesn't stop the media from posting pictures of the huge???? shell??? as somehow belonging to Israel.
.

Some might say they are JDAMs (without the tail fin).

But has anybody bothered to equate these so called Israeli shells found inside Gaza with the M-302 long range missiles supplied by Syria to Hamas?

Hey, I might be totally wrong (well, not about it not being a shell), and seeing as how the IDF drop their bombs from out of sight of MANPADS (so bloody high), anything hitting the ground at speed and from at least a couple of miles up wouldn't leave much behind. But a Missile which misfired just above Gaza and which came crashing down would, while breaking along the weld joints, resemble the things in the top few pictures. Food for thought?
