Ramadan Death Toll: Monday 29/07/13

(Iraq) 15 car bombs were detonated across Iraq today (10 in Baghdad, 2 in Basra and 3 elsewhere), resulting in 69 dead and 220 injured. It appears that somebody somewhere is spending a lot of time, effort and money in which to start a civil war in the country.

(Afghanistan) Afghan government forces killed 83 terrorist over the weekend in eastern Logar and Nangarhar provinces of Afghanistan.

In Zabul province 9 people were killed and 12 injured in a bomb blast.

(Kashmir) An infiltration attempt by Pakistani terrorists into India failed when they were caught in the sights of Indian troops defending their country, and which is why one of them got to meet his maker.

(Libya) Overnight fighting in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi saw a soldier shot dead in violence that has surged since last week's killing of an anti-Islamist political activist.

(Syria) The Syrian Network for Human Rights has said it documented 108 people died in Syria Sunday, including 16 children and five women.

(Egypt) An Egyptian soldier was killed on Monday during a terrorist attack on an army camp in Sinai. Gunmen fired rocket-propelled grenades at Egyptian forces near Rafah, killing the soldier. Terrorists attacked eight other army checkpoints in the el-Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah, injuring eight other soldiers.

Ramadan death toll is now at 3,808.
