Ramadan death toll round-up, August 9, 2012

(Somalia)  A remote controlled bomb which was set off as a Somalian army pickup drove by in Mogadishu killed at least 8 soldiers

(Turkey) Two remote controlled bombs were detonated as a bus containing soldiers  in the Aegean resort town of Foca. This resulted in the death of 1 soldier and another 6 receiving injuries.

(Afghanistan) A passenger bus on a daily run from Kabul to the city of Farah ran over a mine somebody had planted on the road. The resulting blast saw 5 people kileld and 56 people injured.

An Afghan soldier who turned his gun on NATO soldiers wasn't as lucky as he thought he would be when his rifle drills weren't as slick as he thought they were and instead of him killing somebody for allah and running off, he was shot dead.

(Lebanon)  A gunfight between groups across the Lebanese and Syrian border saw 1 shot dead and 7 injured.

(India) A soldier was killed when Indian troops foiled an infiltration bid by Islamic terorists from Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.
