(Beirut) Isn't it ironic how while the liberal and Islamic chattering classes have no problem protesting at the slightest incident when it comes to Israel they remain very silent on the killing fields of Syria where the despotic leadership of the Assad dynasty is having a tête à tête with radical Islamists who while proclaiming freedom of expression for all wish to install a theological regime which will make the one currently in place seem like a liberal paradise.
Well it seems the lack of liberal protests around the world over how Syrian forces have killed over 16000 people this past year has emboldened Syria to take the fight to the Islamists in neighbourhood countries. Which is why yesterday they launched a couple of artillery barrages on a village in Lebanon in which to keep the pressure on the rebels. However all they managed to kill was 3 women and injure 3 children.
Interestingly, Hezb-allah that Iranian/Syrian terrorist outfit in Lebanon which was born out of a desire to defend Lebanon from attacks from the outside (Notably Israel) has remained very silent on this latest outrage. But then so has the "We are all Hezb-allah crowd"
Gee I wonder why that is?
