Reps Ros-Lehtinen (R), Berman (D) Introduce Bipartisan Legislation to Extend Loan Guarantees to Israel

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Howard Berman, Ranking Member of the Committee, today introduced H.R. 4197, which extends authorization for U.S. loan guarantees to Israel through September 30, 2015. Statement by Ros-Lehtinen:

“As the threats to Israel continue to increase, the U.S. must continue to stand by our indispensable ally and ensure that it has the resources it needs to protect its security and prosperity. Congress will continue to stand foursquare with Israel and provide it, upon request, with loan guarantees that provide a key cushion of support in times of need, at no cost to the American taxpayer.”
